With a handle that delivers 1 kg per pull and the option for ad-libitum setting, the feeder offers numerous benefits. With the large container holding up to 85 kg of feed, the lactating sow has enough feed for several days, meaning that feeding is required only on select days during the lactation period.
Versatile feeding for lactating sows
The ad-libitum feeder provides a wealth of benefits and options. With the ration handle, which dispenses approximately 1 kg per pull, the sows can easily be fed a measured amount in the days leading up to farrowing and during the first days afterward. The ad-libitum setting allows the sows to eat as much as they need for the rest of the lactation period.
With the large 85 kg tank (also available in a 150 kg version), feeding is only required 1-2 times per week, saving time in production. It is also a great alternative for those currently feeding with a bucket. There is still good contact with the sows during ration feeding, while also saving a lot of heavy daily lifting.
The feeder is also designed to minimize feed waste, with a plate at the trough entrance preventing birds from accessing the feed.
The ad-lib feeder can also be connected to the clean water tank, ensuring the sow has easy access to fresh water.
