Iglo farrowing hut
An innovative design of the farrowing hut, with its completely unique round shape, offers an excellent indoor environment for the sow and piglets. The hut design, with its round shape, is created to minimize the risk of piglets getting laid on, and the automatic ventilation hatch provides optimal conditions for the animals.

The igloo hut is produced as a single molded piece of MDPE, which is UV-stable, recyclable, and has a longer lifespan than metal huts. The smooth surfaces are easy to clean and have no sharp edges that could injure the pigs. The spherical design of the hut already provides a strong structure, but filling the cavity with foam achieves extraordinary robustness.
The igloo hut is designed to prevent the sow from lying against the side walls, minimizing the risk of harming the piglets. The hut is fully insulated with approximately 50 mm of foam, ensuring that the piglets lie against the side walls, away from the sow. The igloo hut features a ventilation flap that opens and closes automatically depending on the internal temperature of the hut. The ventilation flap also provides a good overview of the entire hut when checking in the farrowing field.
The igloo hut comes in two different sizes, Igloo and Igloo XL. The standard size of the igloo hut is 4.15 m², and the Igloo XL is 4.7 m². The Igloo XL is 25 cm longer than the standard model.
The forecourt is permanently attached to the hut, reducing handling and heavy lifting for staff. The rounded edge of the forecourt makes it more comfortable for the sow to step over, as it is neither cold nor hot.
